The journal is published once a year and contains original research papers and high-quality expository papers in pure and applied mathematics.
Articles must be written in either English or Italian.

“Atti del Seminario del Dipartimento F.I.M.” is managed by the Dipartimento di Scienze Fisiche, Informatiche e Matematiche of the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.

The journal continues the tradition of the “Atti del Seminario Matematico e Fisico dell’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia” (ISSN:1825-1269), published between 2004 and 2011 in 7 volumes, from Vol.52 (2004) to Vol.58 (2011). That series was itself the continuation of the earlier “Atti del Seminario Matematico e Fisico dell’Università di Modena” (ISSN:0041-8986), published between 1947 and 2003 in 51 volumes, from Vol.1 (1947) to Vol.51 (2003).
